Can anyone give me the steps they use to suncure a board? The tube says to 1. Clean the area. 2. Sand the area. 3. Apply suncure. 4. Expose to the sun. Someone told me to put a piece of tape over the suncure before I put it in the sun to make sure its smooth. The guy at the surf shop told me to put the suncure down, then put a piece of fiberglass, then more suncure. I am sure there are many ways to fix a ding with suncure, but I just wanted to know what others have found that works best. Thanks

1. Stuff suncure in hole.
2. Put in sun.
3. Have cup of tea.
4. Go surfing.
Suncure is really only an emergency ding repair so you can continue surfing or for very small dings.
If its a ding big enough to worry about using fibreglass cloth then you should be using a "proper" kit.
But if you just wanna stuff some in the hole, you can either use the tape method to make it smooth (ish) or you can sand it down later.

Yea, agree with DBB. would only use it on very small dings or small cracks. Whats the ding like? might be worth doing it properly if its bigger.

Its a really small ding, less than the size of a dime. It was a board given to me, so i just use it as a spare and for friends to ride. Would it be best to use the tape method and sand it down or is that too much?

nah, i would just sand it a little, apply it, let it dry and sand it down a bit more so its smooth. only used it once before so im no expert

I'll hijack this thread for my own question. I've got like lots of tiny cracks beneath my glassing it seems, is this harmful and what causes this?

Cracking = harmful if it lets water in or you cut yourself on an edge
Cause = impacts result in tiny spider cracks (implies a good surf session

!)
or
Poor glass job so too brittle = board simlpy falling apart !

I just discovered them after taking the wax off today (for the first time, it's a second hand board I bought 6 months ago). You don't feel the cracks though if you run your finger over them, it's like they're in a layer beneath the top layer or something. So I assume they don't let in water. I certainly hope it's not falling apart. Maybe it was caused by taking it on the plane a few months ago, or by the powerful Portugese waves after that plane trip and my awful surfing skills, hehe..
