Hey, it's getting near my birthday and i'm thinking of getting a new wetsuit

I surf in the North Sea down by cromer etc. tempreture is about 6 degrees right now and it can reach 18's in the summer
(thats 43 - 65 F) so i'm hoping if I buy a good 4/3mm I'll be able to go surfing march till november.

I've allways liked O'neill suits and the Mutant and the Psycho I are the best in my price range (under £200)

they're similar prices but It's hard to see any major differences other than the position of the zip

But I'm open to any suggestions and advice

anyone tried either of these???

I tried both on a while back at a surf shop when I was looking for a 4/3 wetsuit. The mutant was 100x harder for me to get in and out of. Im talking a solid 15 minutes or so just for me to get the thing on and even harder to take off. Took all my energy to get it on past my shoulders since its a front zip. I have pretty wide upper body and im really happy I tried it on before buying it because it just didnt work for me. I ended up going with the psycho1. Im able to get in and out of it easier because of the back zip. Only issue with the backzip is that I've had water dumped down my back on a few occasions while duckdiving large waves. My suggestion to you is to go to a surf shop and try a few on then order it online for a cheaper deal if you want. Also I surf in Northern California and the water temp stays around 50-55F and I have no problem staying warm with the psycho1 / booties/ and gloves. Occasionally I go for a hood if im going out early in the morning in the winter when the outside air is cold.

psycho 2 is meant to be a good suit. just for future reference, the chest zip suits are hard to get on at first but once the suit has been worn in a little bit its just as easy to get on as a normal suit
