What are the best board racks suitable for bedrooms?

2x4's, some foam that goes around pipes, thick dowell rods, and some drywall screws. i think you could build something workable out of that. i just leave them in board bags leaned up in a corner

Are they the racks that keep the boards leaned against the wall vertically?

it'd be however you'd want to make em. you could make it so that the boards lean against the wall. i see it as screwing a 2x4 into the wall along the studs. drill out holes big enough for your dowels, so they stick out from the wall. cover them with the pipe foam or other padding. stick the boards between each. since you're building it, you can do whatever you want with it

sure thing. i think my boss has something like that rigged up in a closet in his house. but if you have high enough ceilings, personally, i think i'd go with some sort of overhead rack thing. it'd look cool, but kind of a pain to get em down i suppose

Best surf racks hold em outta the way from damage it's that simple. I have both inside my pad one that holds 7 short vertical and anouther holds 6 horizontal. I prefer the horizontal but the vert rack works well due to it being in a corner wall area wich protects the boards and am thinkin of making anouther horizontal rack for 2 or 3 to sit above the vert rack. The outher main deciding factor is board length most cellings are 8' high so anything close to that length or longer has to go horizontal.
