hi all, i am new in here. i've been surfing for only couple of months, and still kind crappy.
due to my school, i can only go surfing once a week, mean i can not choose when to go base on the condition of wave.
i have a nsp 6'8" funsize, which i had hard time to duckdive
so i want to change to a smaller board, and my height is 5'11" and 145 pound weight
i hope to get a board that can catch up wave easy and is able to perform as well when i get better
any suggestion will be appreciated, it will be nice if the brand, model, size and material can be included
btw, i am wondering what kind of materials should i go for, the pu of tuflite
i know the pu works better for bigger waves, but i am also worry about durability of pu
i cant afford to change a new one if it is snapped into two

thanks

How competent are you on your 6'8"? I say you should stick with your funsize until it's no longer a challenge for you to ride. If you get a new shortboard, I feel that you may be reverting back to square one, accustoming yourself with a new board. I surf at Huntington Beach, as well, using a 6'4" Flyer. I've been going quite frequent lately, and I must say, I wish I had a longboard or a funboard. The surf's been small, and I wait 10-15 minutes on end for a wave. Think about it and maybe I'll see you out there!
