Seriously, DIY is always an option, however in terms of price if you are initially setting stuff up is rarely cheaper. The simplest option is to find someone near to me now, who has all the gear to make the repair. The problem is essentially my location. So the real problem is to minimise the length of the drive to get it sorted out.

So thats my question: Is there a shaper near to me now? I might be able to get this sorted out because Iv just found out that there are kite boarders near me and windsurfurs too, who inevitably must get their boards dinged, so there is a shop in Long Eaton. Im checking it out.

Thanks for your imput though.

Set up on ding repair is not a lot of money......I bet the SW kit comes with every thing you need in a pinch.
A disc sander is a good first tool. Will save from hand sanding all excess
But a sanding block, and some hard work will get er dun!
