I am looking forward to using that foam to shape a board hopefully soon. I wanted it to be what I used for my first but I was unable to.

a bit too early to say the quality of this foam, but it's good thing that it's good for the environment.

it certainly looks like a great idea... i am definitely using it in the next board i shape, (i have to finish this one first tho) the only issue i have heard is that its not quite as hard as regular PU, at least not until fibreglassed...

It is a little softer I think but it has the same consistancy all the way through the blank instead of only having a hard outer skin.

Cheers.
The reason I asked is that I'm going to get a new board made and I'm seriously thinking about having it made from a bio blank. I've been reading a lot about them and they sound fairly good, certainly good enough for a surfer such as me, not really 'high perfomance' and there does seem to be a few shapers offerering them as an option, which I assume means they must think they're up to scratch.
I know beach beat are doing them and I've contacted the guy from fluid juice about it too. He said he'll make me one for the same price as a regular board and I've heard good things about his boards so I'll probably get it made by him.
Still, I can't help feeling a bit like a guinea pig but I guess it's time to put my money where my mouth is etc. and commit to cleaner way of doing things.
I'll keep you posted on how it goes.
