Why dont you want to surf bare foot??!!??

One of the best things about surfing somewhere warm is getting rid of as much rubber as you can and just surfin' in boardshorts! It makes a huge difference!

You'd look a complete spaz in boardshorts and boots,
but you can get reef shoes - thin slip on neoprene 'shoes' for walking across rocks and reefs. You can surf in them.... but why bother?

surfing without boots is the best, only in the summer we get to do that here, much prefer doing barefoot, although it can be handy to wear shoes (dont always need reef shoes) just to walk to a break across rocks but just be careful when entering and getting out of sea

good question....and the answer is i went feet first into the reef at manobier some years ago and had to walk up the beach with my feet cut open....ive always been a bit cautious since then.......i agree with the board shorts and boots thing though :D thanks for the advice
