Circle One boards (Posted by Freek)

I'm about to buy a new board. It wil be my first board after borrowing a board from a friend of mine for about a year. I will use it mostly in the weaker northsea surf. (I can stand up pretty confidend and turn a little, i'm about 5'7 and 150 lbs).

Now i was thinking about a Circle One board (epoxy to handle the traveldamage a little better). This one or this one, but the tail of the 6'6 seems a little less suited for those weaker waves.

I didn't find any circle one boards in my local surfshop so i was wondering if any of you guys has any experience with one of those boards or any other circle one board? How is the shape? How is the weight? Are the fins any good or just crap? And if you have the 6'6, how does it perform in weaker waves?

Thx in advance!

Av got the 6 8 swallow tail and i love it, its my second board a step down from min mal.

I think the circle one are proberly a bit hevere than a poly / custom but couldnt realy say cos av not compared them. they are stronger thow

I found it prity easy to pop up on, ride / turn and duck dive. and not badly priced at £280

I can recomend the 6 8
