Postby mushy_surf_Florida » Thu Oct 04, 2007 2:18 am

Iv been looking at the FCS 3D fin and i dont know if i should pay $60+ for 1 fin..but on the other hand its good to have over dead sections (like Florida during a wind swell) I just wont to know what everyone thinks befor i head to the shop and even think about buying.

Can't really help as I've never used one or know anyone who has.

Seems like a bit of a gimmick to me though.

ya drags the last thing i need here in Florida when the winds are blowing east at 20 mph during a wind storm..thankz for the advice, never thought about how it would drag. i talked to one of the guys at quiet flight and they said its a nice fin to have whens its glassy out.
thankz for the advise...still not sure if i should buy lol

I tried to look up some reviews for ya, but couldn't find anything..
Found one MSN store review but it didn't have any reviews posted.. :(

I say stick with regular fins until you hear more about them.. its never fun to be the test dummy.

correction:
Unless they are free haha.

FCS 3D

i bought my fcs 3d fin last spring and i love it. it is very fast and you feel the board lift beneath you and pick up speed during turns. the only downside i have experienced is that you need to make your board work for the fin to work (wont help you at all if your not pumping or turning). once your bottom turn is set up the fin makes the board fly. i have it along with the fcs h2 fins and the 3d fin makes the board extremely fast but makes it have a longer turning radius that you explode out of the end of the turn. it is not very snappy (short radius turns) but if your surfing well and hard it feels unbelievable. well worth the money if you have some leftover money or xmas gift...
