fish/ surfboard help

ive been surfing for a while and can ride my shortboard but dont get much speed or power its a 6' 2" long about 18 inch wide and not very thick. im 6 foot 180 pounds and i dont know if this is a good bord for me or not. I got it when i was 10 from a freind and didnt use it till now. im also wonderin what size retro style fish would be good because i wave a couple freinds that have em and they paddle great. thanks for the help
also should say im tryin to step down from a 8' 6"

well depends on ya ability, not really that good unless you can surf pretty well, better off giving one a try and then deciding from there

lol yea waves are very important, but again you'll need to watch what fish you buy because some are small wave boards and others more suited to average conditions although they do ride small waves as well

trying to fide southern california waves in san diego and orange county mostly

so not huge but we get alright waves in a lot of spots
