Steam in shower, and my westuit

Postby Guest » Thu Dec 06, 2007 5:35 pm

I live in a dorm and my roommate doesn't want my wet suit in the dorm, so I leave it in the bathroom. Will the steam from the shower ruin my wet suit?

mine gets cleaned after every use. I hose it off and let it dry out over an outside chair, then i put it on top of my wardrobe.
Why cant you keep it with the rest of your gear?

steam will do it good if anyhting. It helps kepe the neoprean supple. I give my suit a 48hr soaking every 3 months.

I rinse my wet suit off in the shower with cold water right after I surf every time. Thanks for all the help.

I leave my wetsuit in a crumpled ball, under the back seats in my 4wd, wedged between some snow chains and my fishing gear.

The mouldy carpet under the seats helps to soak the water out of the suit, so after a couple of days it starts to dry out nicely.
