Thanks Greg I'll do that. Yeah the suits well warm, although mine is a 6/4 so it should be really  . The batwing neck seal is really good for stopping flushes and it's kept me toastie warm for 2-3hr sessions in 5-6C water which is pretty good for a bit of rubber! The seal thing is a bit disapointing though, it's the internal liquid seam as shown on that footage you posted!

Cheers, Brian.

Also speaking of rip curl suits my f bomb is coming apart on the liquid seam stuff, had it about a year, does anyone know how to get in touch with rip curl about this cos I can't see anything on their site for customer service etc.

Cheers.

yeah the boots are great & are designed for surfing so yeah, plenty of feeling thru the soles

I turned down an Xcel wetsuit yesterday ... it was last seasons 5/4 for £150 (new) would have been £220 last year. Liquid seams inside but not 100%, the legs were just taped by the looks of things.

I'm going for a C-Skins Session 5/3 instead @ £200 with 100% liquid seams .... did I make a good/bad decision?

Yeah if you come up here you're guaranteed waves somewhere, there's only been 1 day since august where there was no surf anywhere, the only thing that tends to stop us going out is if the weather is crap! Cause we're an island we pick up north, south, east and west swells, and if the wind is onshore at one place then it'll be offshore somewhere else! Also if you check out the swell chart on magic seaweed and look at lewis, you can see that almost always there's a swell hitting it, even if there's little else in the rest of the uk! Just remember a car is best up here. You can catch a ferry from Ullapool to Stornoway. If you give us a shout before you come up we can give you some pointers as into where to go to get some surf!

I just bought the Salomon Myo 5/3 suit only used it a couple of times but it seems good so far.

I bought the 5/3 as i've used my 3/2 Salomon suit for 2 years for windsurfing and a couple of months since i started surfing and it has lasted better than most of the suits i've owned.Hopefully the 5/3 lasts as well as the 3/2 has.
