Board Choice? (Posted by Tom351)

Ok, I am an occasional/novice surfer but I do have a lot of experience with watersports (tournament level slalom watersking and a lot of wakeboarding). I am tryting to decide which of two surfboards to buy so that I can surf early in the morning before rental shops open when I am at the beach. My possible choices:

Webber Fatburner 6'-10" (maybe it is really 6'-9" but the shop says 6'-10"
6'9" W=21" Thickness=2-78 "

I know that this board may be a bit short for me but it seems wider and thicker than other 6'-10"ers so maybe it would be a good choice.

NSP Funboard 7'-6"
7'6" W= 22-3/4" Thickness=3"

I live a few hours from the beach so I will not be surfing a ton- other than wakesurfing behind my boat maybe but that may help me get used to the Fatburner
I am having a hard time deciding which way to go- thanks in advance!

Ordinarily i would suggest the nsp but if you're serious about wakesurfing then the fat burner will probably be the better option for use behind the boat.
