URGENT HELP!BOARD DILEMMA:6'8'' or 7'2''?

Postby k87 » Mon Sep 10, 2007 3:21 pm

Well,i've read every single topic regarding beginners boards BUT i could not find something similar.

I have found these two all new NSP funboards(6'8'' and 7'2'') at my local shop. The boards are on sale, brand new, both at very good prices-the guy that owns the shop is a friend's brother.I've surfed a few times on a shortboard but i was eating xxxxx.I decided to go for one of those.I know they are pop outs, not any good etc. but considering my options right now these two are my only choices.Should i go for the 7'2'' or the 6'8'' is better?I'll be surfing once a week and i'm 6 ft- 172 pounds.

Going for a custom or another minimal is unfortunately not an option.

Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Most definitely the 7'2.
Someone your height and weight will struggle on a 6'8 for a long time if they're only surfing once a week (less, realistically, due to flat spells, rubbish conditions etc etc).
