Best way to dry out a board

Postby dadrifta » Sat Sep 08, 2007 2:04 pm

I recently acquired an old 9'6" with the fin broken out, the problem is it was outdoors in the rain, and is pretty waterlogged, I cut out around the fin where I'm going to glass the fin back in, and stored it in the cieling of my garage over a week ago hoping it will dry out , but the drying is going really slowly. Barely a difference since I hung it up there 9 days ago. Anybody out there got any ideas or experience with this? I want to get it back in the water, but not until its completely dried out!

Leave it out in the sun for a little (ding up)and cover up the rest of the board with towels. When you store it face it ding down.
