NSP 9'2" or BIC 10'?

as you probably guessed I'm new to surfing and I'm looking for a durable longboard for a relatively inexpensive price. I live in RI, am about 6'3" 190lbs., and have been told these two boards would be good to learn on. any advice?

At your size and weight, and being a newcomer to surfing, I reckon you'd get more enjoyment out of the bigger board

Your a big guy, so you need at least a 10' board or maybe more.

They are both pretty huge!!

I'm 5' 11" and weigh about 15 stone and am learning on a BIC 7' 9". But for a big chap i am quiet mobile and active

My friend has a simalar sized NSP which i actually prefer to mine but the BIC is ok. I'd be wary about leaning on a 10' board as it'll be so much hassle to store and get to the beach you'll never use it.

thanks for all the advice. I'm actually thinking about getting this used epoxy board (10'2") at the local shop for $550.
