Bic Performer

Postby chembot » Tue Sep 19, 2006 2:18 pm

Hey, does anyone have a Bic 7 ft 6 performer? How is it? Saw it in a surf shop and seems nice and light compared to the other Bics. Would it be ok for a small, light beginner? (Bic seem to be suggesting it's for experienced surfers) Really want this board! Having a hard time deciding what board to get and appreciate all the advice!

Good grief, its certainly not 'an experienced surfers board'. BIC might be talking it up a bit much there

My girlfriend had one for learning on and they're perfect for that. :D

I had one as my first board a few years back and their dead easy to learn on.

My mate had an NSP of the same size, I thought it was rubbish and he thought the performer was great.

The only problem is that they are so easy to learn on that you'd grow out it quickly if you use it a lot, not really a problem, but I'd suggest you get a second had one for this reason and save the cash to upgrade in a year or less.

But great as a first board!
