Postby ChrisWhite » Sat Sep 16, 2006 4:01 pm

Ok i need help deciding on a board, fairly big guy 6' 1" 170-175 pounds, im not sure if i want a shortboard or long board i was thinking a hybrid but not sure. Im just starting i can catch waves in Santa Cruz on 38th pretty easily. But i wanted something i can progress with so i dont have to buy a new board. Brands and length would be great

go for a big guy short board maybe 6.10 or 7ft. Your best bet is to actually go to your local surfshop and discuss it with them Normally they will run through your specifications i.e what type are you looking for. Maybe for an allrounder try a 7.3 funboard that will give you room to change down or go bigger later.
