BIC Boards

Postby blueazure » Thu Jul 01, 2004 8:47 pm

Hi folks....

I need some advice or rather has anyone come across my problem..?

I bought a BIC Mini Mal Natural Surf 7'9'' about 7 weeks ago. The first one I got turned out to have a pressure dent in her at around the mid section so the nice shop kindly swapped it no problem. I have been out on this newer board around 4 times and after I got her home last weekend I noticed another pressure dent. This time it is on the nose area, around 2.5 inches big. Its almost as if whatever is inside the board (polystyrene??) has crumpled leaving just the plastic which has bent in. I have written to BIC but theu have not replied so far.... Has anyone elase had any problems with any BIC boards? I was under the impression that these suckaz were basically bomb proof?

Appreciate any feedback.....

Cheers..

yoda yeah i've got load of pressure dents on my BIC i've had mine for 2 years and it hasn't affected its performance at all i wouldn't worry about it. When you pop up do go to your knees first? because thats what i think causes them. cheers then

I'd agree with treehugger - I've never had a BIC but from all accounts they are practically indestructable. I've heard storeis of people driving their cars over them and they're fine.

As long as it still surfs I wouldn't worry.

If it were a custom board then I WOULD be worrying!

Cheers guys....

Im getting straight to my feet so I dont have any knee dents or that kind of thing... The main dent is at the nose... But I dont expect it will have any effect on my performance as Im still learning....

But you never know..... I may be the next Occy and I will fail because of a 2 inch pressure dent on my BIC....

It could happen!
