Paint Without Spray

Postby JoaquimLima » Mon May 10, 2021 11:12 pm

Hi!

I've read lots of posts here about painting an old surfboard with Acrylic Based Spray Paint. What about using 'regular' acrylic paint? I mean, those that we usually apply to walls, wood and so on. Can it be used, Acrylic or even Vinyl paints be used in the same way or do they 'attach' the resin?

Even though my response is a bit belated, I’d like to share my two cents. You can totally use regular acrylic paint on your surfboard. It should work just fine. Just make sure to properly prep and clean the surface before painting, and you'll be catching waves in style.

Just curious. Why the aversion to spray paint?
