Car roof storage with roof bag?

Postby cajunpenguin » Fri Apr 23, 2021 8:10 pm

I have a cargo box thing that will be strapped to my roof when I move house next month. It's not a classic box though, but a material bag:

It's soft and straps onto the doors. I want to bring a 7ft minimal on the same trip, but am worried about placing the board under the bag in case of pressure on the rocker. I feel like since it will be top side to the roof, that probably wouldn't be too much of a problem, but wanted to ask some people who know more than me. There's not enough space to place the board and the bag side by side on the roof.

TIA :D

Just make sure you put some towel to even out the rocker. I don't know how heavy your cargo is but some of my friends treats their surfboard like trash. They stood and jump on it while it's lifted from the nose and tail. There is nothing underneath the middle part.

If your boards are epoxy or soft, then it should be ok.
