Old thread but I’ll add my 2 cents.
I’ve got 2 Torq boards.
6.10 Fish and 7.6 Mod Fun. Both have been great in UK.
I’ve learned on a foamie and then bought a 8ft PU which I progressed on for a year.

7.6 is great for all conditions from tiny 2ft and even catches whitewater if it’s closing out and you still want to have some fun.

6.10 needs a bit more effort and at least 3-4ft clean waves.

Both boards turn really well and are fairly easy to paddle on to waves.

Fins that come with the boards are terrible tho, I’ve replaced them with some Koalition ones and it made a massive difference.
