Depends if that is a board suited for you then maybe worth fixing if not then it's not worth the resin.

i got it off a friend its my first short board havent had the chance to ride it since i got it due to the damage

so If you are wondering about if this board is right for you then get some solarEZ and coat all the holes. If it turns out to be what you want then sand it down and glass over the holes. There are many You tube videos showing how this is done but first you need to figure out what kind of foam this board has and resin it is made with I am guess polyurethane foam and polyester resin . If it is polyester resin then when you sand it it will smell strongly of a sweet chemical smell. The other variety is epoxy resin with polystyrene foam which will have a very slight smell. so you need to get the solarez made for that type of resin

1) Value/ worth is in the eye of the beholder. Yes, it's worth it to have a board that you can go surf, versus not having one.
2) Worth spending A LOT of repair money on ? NO, not worth bringing to a repair shop, since you can see the foam core inside is rotted out.
3) Worth fixing with UV solarez or ding putty. Yes, so you don't get a nasty cut on your foot or leg from the open fiberglass on the rail. Or getting cut on the waist pulling yourself up from the tail.
4) "how would you go about doing ( repairing ) it ?" Same as you did on your other boards. What type of dings did you get on those ?

tbh its my first board lol iv always rented. And what fins would you recommend? its a clark foam 5'9R with tri fin slots, though i cant find the type of foam it is

Even without knowing what boards you rented, I can already guess you won’t be able to surf ( let alone paddle out to the break ) on that board.
The board is NOT made by Clark Foam. The foam core was made by Clark Foam and most likely a Polyurethane, so most UV repair kits in a tube ( like Solarez ) will work.
As for fins, look for the basic FCS M-5 which is bone colored. Cheaper will be the G-5 in black but those aren’t made anymore. I would go to your local shop and get 3 FCS fins even if they’re mismatched from their misc. box. It won’t matter.

No, but it’s a board in barely repairable condition and isn’t a board you will likely not be able to surf. So no point spending much money. Fins are ok because you can take them to your next board. Buy a tube of solarez and some sandpaper and spend some time fixing it and learning about fixing board (always a useful skill). If it’s a disaster then you have learnt some new skills and have a new set of fins

It’s very likely that the board will fall apart before you can learn to use it. The fins will be worth more than the board. But you can take them along with you to the next board if it has the same fin plugs. If you were surfing well enough to not have to ask about the board then you might enjoy surfing it while it fell apart.....this is just my opinion and I am not omniscient
