Bought nsp 8.2
Have been surfing it for more than a month.
Quite durable: only scratches after a fall on the concrete, bumping into a steel sing due to concentration on girls in bikinis and couple collisions.

Almost no nose diving.

But harder to paddle and catch waves. Can't do small waves anymore and pop up earlier than others. So, have to be in the crowded line up. More competition and fewer waves.

Cut my leg and lip!

I would still strongly recommend buying a decent longboard in the future, like Jaffa suggested 9'2-9'6 NSP element are great. I tried one of them and really liked it.

With your nose dive you just need to learn backward pop up, so you stand up on a back of the board to prevent that.

I had been surfing for more than 5 years and rode mainly shorter boards from 6'4 to 7'4 until I bought a decent 10' mal about a year ago. I now understand how much I lost! Got so many waves and improved my surf skills soooo much! Decent longboard is a must and not only for knee-high swells, but for so many other conditions where you will have paddling advantage, long rides, more waves and more fun at the end of all this :)

P.S It seems that you are Russian (your name). Me and you are the very few on this forum probably :)

Many thanks! Yep! I am Russian. Where do you surf? And how often?
I rode long boards for two years. Broke all of them:) so, tried this one! 8.2 is almost a long one. Its volume is close to 9 footers. And it feels faster and more maneuverable.
And definitely transportation is easier!

I live and surf in Australia, Queensland :) where are u? US?

I snapped one as well unfortunately. I too have an 8' footer with a bit of rocker and other features like a fish tail/narrowed nose and so on. It is a great board, but that nice malibu glide isn't there any more :( I still feel like I need a proper mal when the surf is tiny or waves are fat and slow as this babe likes relatively steep and fast beasts. In addition, I have 2 shortboards 6'8/6'6, but they wouldn't help either.

So that is why I suggest having a decent mal is a good idea :) I just got back from a big Europe trip and can't afford one, but will hopefully get a log in the near future :)
