Is it possible to surf with 2 fins on a three fin board?

When I show up to a break and it's tiny, and I still want to surf, I take out the center fin and go surf small tiny waves. Without the center fin it glides way easier. I would not try it in big waves, they make twin keels that can hold up for that purpose.
