First board

Hi I am a beginner and I do not live on a beach but am close enough to take day trips to it I would like to get my first surfboard I have surfed a few times before and I skateboard and snowboard and have good balance I am 6 foot 2 190 lbs does any body have suggestions of what i should get

A longboard. 9ft long (up to 9ft6); 21.5 inches wide (wider than that is better) and 2 3/4 inches thick (thicker than that is better).

These are pretty normal longboard measurements.

There are 1000s of makers who produce boards with those measurements. You just have to hunt around

Second hand is better when you are starting (cheaper, don't worry so much about dinging it) and epoxy perhaps is marginally preferable (harder, less able to damage) but a standard PU/fibreglass board is perfectly fine.
