So here are the conditions---
A) Size of board should be 8.6 Feet or close
B) I will be using the board in a country where no Surf Boards exist and it will be hard for me to buy another one as I would have to travel for that....And there are only small waves there no big ones...
C) I want to buy it/ make a local pickup from Los Angeles area as I will be visiting LA soon. And I will be in LA only for 4 days. So I need to be able to pick it up right from the shelf or pre-ordering is also ok .....
D) It has to be under 500 USD or very close. I also dont mind USED which is in good condition. Will be comfortable with 350USD ----
Question 1)
Which Surfboard shaper in Los Angeles area? I have seen so many like Greco, J&K, Equinox, South Point etc etc etc...any recommendations? I saw many other shapers at
http://www.surfboardsetc.com/moredetail ... board.html What about NSP boards? But I read some reviews about Greco boards having problems when faced up in the sun do all surfboards hav that problem? Also read the Grece boards were breaking easily.

Funboard or Mini Mala or Mini longboard? I know Funboards are 8 FT and under but there are some shapers who call their 8.6s also funboards.....So which one? I am a fast learner, 5-4FT - 165Cms, 143 Pounds. I like speed, but I find it hard to catch waves easily....once I am up I can walk to the front of board....
but alas still finding it hard to catch waves...Rgds,
