Surfboard crack help!

Postby FatAl » Sat Oct 01, 2011 4:05 am

Hi,

So I've noticed a crack on the right side rail of the nose and I did a simple repair. As of now the crack can be seen(clear poly on epoxy board) but I can't feel any of the edges. A thin layer over the crack - sanded - another layer - wet sanded. No buffing. I'm pretty good with ding repairs as I've done many ding repairs on skimboards. But I've never had to deal with any cracks. I'm just not quite sure if that is enough

Is there a way to check to see if the board is water tight? This is my only board that my brother gave me and I really treasure it i would like to keep it from water logging it.

P.S I know about using epoxy on epoxy but I ran out and did not want to buy another gallon.

Any help would be appreciated!
