Crack Repair? PICS Included!

Postby SurferRick » Tue Sep 27, 2011 5:22 am

I'am a new surfer and recently noticed a few cracks. The small circle crack is on the rail and the longer cracked/chip is on the tail. The board feels the same but it does look like the board is sitting deeper in the water when just sitting (about 2 inches deeper). Let me know what you guys think and how to repair if its needed.

Thanks

use your fingernail to pass over the cracks, if it catches the crack fix it.you said your surfboard might be heavier, so before you fix it, leave it somewhere hot to dry, cause there could be water in it.it looks like a simple repair.use sand paper to get rid of the crack, apply some resin, let it dry, smooth is out with finer sand paper.Practice makes perfect, the first repair is never great. if it doesn't look good, just sand it down and try again. next time you get home and notice some cracks after a surf session, try to suck the crack, if you taste water it is cause some water got in. -TL:DR
