Soft racks leaking water - help!

Hi Folks,

Been using soft racks for a while now - the kind that wrap around with a strap through your doors. They pull back the weather stripping a bit, so when it rains, water comes in along the strap. I've tried shoving open-cell foam in the door, plastic bags, etc, but no joy - water just comes on through.

Anyone ever hear of potential solutions for this annoyance?
