please help with 5"10 fishtail

Hey guys Im inexperienced in buying boards. I have only bought 3. So anyway, I have to oppurtunity to buy a 5’-10” x 20 1/2” x 2 1/2" Fish tail by a company called Contrast in Colors. I need a board that will be good in mushy and sometimes decent waves in summertime NJ. My other shortboard isnt good for NJ summer waves and seems to be not thick enough (2 1/4). Now what i wanted to know was, is this board going to be thick enough to float me ( i weigh about 190) and will it ride well in NJ waves. thanks alot
