Traction pad Vs. Size

Postby LISurf92 » Sun Mar 14, 2010 6:43 am

Hey Guys,
I am just getting back into surfing again, I used to surf a bit when i was younger and i stopped because i could never get to the beach and were always busy with school and sports. I have a license now =]. I just got a new board for Christmas its a 7'2 custom hybrid board. Should i get a traction pad for it? If so how far back should i put it? I was thinking that putting it where i had it on my 6'3 cannibal from back in the day would be way to far back. What do you guys think? HELP ME OUT! =]

just use wax for a session or two to see where the wear is on your board. Once that is determined you know where you might want to put that pad. I would you a real light coat of wax at first becasuse you will have to remove the wax prior to putting on the pad.
