ok so here's my deal,
I am 5'8 182lbs, i have been surfin' an 8' longboard and can surf fine on it. I bought a 5'10 Robert August sorta fish-shortoard hybrid, and it sank, then snapped in half (no-joke). I picked up an old 80's custum quad-fin shortboard 6'0 and cant surf at all on it (luckily i got it for only $50) so i'm lookin' for a new board. I want a tuflite or somthing that wont snap again. Ive got 3 picked out

what do u guys think is best one a those or somthing else?
O' yea the wave where i live (Nantucket, MA) are kinda waist-head height sometimes with some larger swells, but very choppy and close in.

Ok, honestly I'm a believer in that it's better to be surfing on a board that's a couple inches too long, than to not be surfing at all because the board is too short.

I wouldn't recommend any of those boards. But since you seem to want to get a fish, go with a twin fin, retro fish shape. Make sure the board is good and wide(at least 21 inches wide). And I wouldn't go with anything less than a 6,4. I'm 5,10 and 160 pounds and I ride a 6,6 twin fin retro. I love it, it's big but it's perfect for the small florida gulf and east coast crap along with the occasional larger waves. As far as thickness goes, mine is 2 5/8 inches thick.

If you go with a 6,4 twin fin retro fish, I can ensure that you'll be having fun surfing the crap out of your new board.
