Postby Johno » Wed May 13, 2009 9:22 am

I proberly know what every one will say but here we go,

Was serching ebay the other night and came across brand new 9' long board custom poly (china made) for £170 new with fins.

Has any one boght one of these? i read the feed back and out of 1500 post there was only about 50 negative feed backs

for a small wave board in the summer think it could be ok, I cudnt ebven buy the kit to shape it myself for that price,

any feed back would be apprecaited

i bought a cheap chinese retro quad. for the amount that i use it, it was worth it. i don't use it all that often, and couldn't justify spending $500-600 on a board that wasn't going to be an everyday board. yeah, i kind of feel like a tool, but it works when i need it. i'm thinking about having my shaper do a retro quad for me, and then just sell the chinese one or give it to a grom or something.

Bought a used Asian-made epoxy pop out for my wife. It works pretty well for her and strikes the chord between useage, cost, and durability. One amusing aspect of this board is that's its dimensions are precisely the same as a very well known California shaper's board. I lent it to another old guy at C Street in Ventura early one morning. This guy could have easily been a big wave surfer when young. He surfed this pop out like no pop out ever expected to be used! It was amazing to see and reminded me many of us don't need the most expensive stuff to have a good time.
