Want to learn the art of shaping.

does any body know of any shapers that may offer up some of there know how on the art. Really want to know how to shape/repair. there are a few locals but i dont know of any that are willing to teach.

check you tube or buy a shaping video....JC makes a decent vid for shaping.

Just need to watch a lot of shapers on video..and then give er a go!!!
it is the best feeling to ride your own creation....even tho it may not be the best surfboard. have butchered 3 together myself. Each one was much better than the last.
The shaping is easier than the glassing in my opinion.

yep,im on number 5 and im only just gettin the hang of it.utube had loads of short clips that are good(the expert village one is very good) but sooner or later your going to have to get stuck in!
my advice is go for it,the worst board ive done is more precoius to me than the most expensive one ive brought........
