PRESSURE DING BAD?

Postby MAHALO7stefen » Fri Nov 26, 2004 3:24 pm

i have a pressure ding thats about 5 inches long and like hmm maybe 4 millimeters deep only near the middle of the ding then spreads out to like 2 mm.

the ding seems like its not going to be any problem cuz its all covered up already and not even deep. the only thing is that is kinda long. ( i got suncure just in case)

what u ppl think :O :o [/img]

think you should just leave it, just keep an eye on it, if its starting to crack then dung some of the sun cure stuff on it, but i suppose its a nice board, so suppose you could go to a shaper and he will cut it out and fill it back in but probable looking at £50 so might not be worth it, anyway thats my opinion, your choice!

instead i just put some suncure over the whole pressured area (i checked for cracks before-none i think, maybe a little crease thing u could see but it looks like there was a white smeared suncure like the end of the smear, didnt think it was a crack [dont mind what i just said im dumb lol])

neways i kind of did a newbie job :/ i still have to get 180 sandpaper grade cuz all i have now is the finest.

if u look closely on picture 3 u can see like a kinda of long small bump / hill of suncure like as if it were excess glue, im going to see if i can sand that down smooth with the other stuff. hope so :/ i dont want that chunk of suncure,

it really isnt smooth at all,can any experts tell me w/ 180 grade sandpaper if i can sand all of that down smooth ahh  hope i can!

its just like a dent in a car except in yur surfboard

occurs from board in contact with something not sharp or small enough to puncure but leave a crater of sort

you have some on the top of yur baords the small ones from pressure from yur feet

nehow i bought this used

there was a line of crack so i suncured over the area then sanded down

covers crack if water wants to get in, looks like im hardcore hahaha jk
