Too Many Advertisements On This Forum

This board takes forever to load for me. Even when I connect to it from work where I have a decent internet connection it's slow. I suspect all the advertisements slow it down. I already have a bad internet connection and having to wait for the ad servers to finish uploading their junk to the forum is really making it less appealing to come here. Maybe the site needs more bandwidth. Perhaps it's time to spend some of the ad money coming in on making the site more accessible.

Hi RinkyDink, thanks for the feedback.
The adverts will slow the site down a little, it's a balance between funding the site and keeping it usable for visitors.
As a regular member you should not be seeing lots of ads, After a certain amount of posts (well under your 1000+posts) the number of adverts displayed reduces.
We moved to a new advertising network towards the end of last year so I'll go back and check that the reduction for regulars is in place.
The site should load quickly on a good broadband connection, I see no issues. I'd like to get feedback from other members of site load speed issues.

I connect via mobile phone data package here in Bali (third world country) and have no issues with loading speed. I would check your connection first and hardware next.

I've checked the adverts for regulars, if you've posted 50+ times you should only see a maximum of 3 ads on any forum page. (more on non-forum pages of the site at the moment)

Sorry. I was just having one of those days. I live in a semi-rural area with no decent internet access. I get frustrated at times.
