I've got a Walden 9'6" CF Magic model that I love. Rides real nice, not familiar with the Wahine model, can't help out in that regard. Some shops will let you rent before you buy... check out that option, let her rent one of them and see if she likes it before you spend the scratch.

Thanks for your thoughts. I think it will be a good board for her to start on. Don't know for sure if i should go with the 7' or go with the 8'. She is very athletic and good on her feet. I want her first experience to be an easy 1, so just might go with the bigger board. Well the thing with the Wahine is can you say pretty flowers (yep i got a girl). thought about renting a board also, but her eyes litup on this board so it just might help her to get hook on surfing.
Again thanks
Greg

My 7 year old daughter is on my case for a wahine - pretty flowers definitely work. They look like nice boards, but they don't do them small enough for my kids.

Hey ceebop, I don't know much about that particular model.
But, what's your girls height & weight?
(No, I'm not some dirty internet perv; it makes a difference in the size board you'd want to get

I think the 7' would be fine, and the 8' would probably be too big for her size.
