Longboard for big old guy with bad shoulder

Wow this sounds bad! I'm in my 40's, a year our of major shoulder surgery, so paddling is a bit slow. I would like a new big epoxy longboard to catch more waves. About 6 months experience. I'm 6-4 210. Any recommendations (other than staying home)? Southern Cali area.

well if you want something thats easy to catch waves on, i would go for something in the 10ft range. and if you want something strong i would go for a southpoint or bic or an nsp or a surf tech, but surf techs arnt that good for windy days because there super light.

They are based out of Santa Cruz. They make epoxy boards. They do a line of boards with more float made for bigger guys.
I too had major shoulder surgery last march. I bought one of their 8'6" longs and I love it. Would definately recommend them. I went to the warehouse, met one of the salesmen, looked around, checked out all the boards, bought one. Great experience.
I tried a 10' epoxy/wood that they make, caught everything. I mean everything, as long as it was a ripple I could catch and surf it.
