I'm a beginner and I'm 6.2'
I know the beginner need as long as good, but I need a easy-carry board.
Do you suggest me buy a 8'~9' longboard? :?
anyway, thanks your comment.

:ninja: wow this is a wicked emoticon!

hey buddy, there are many threads for beginner boards, but yeah, 8' to 9' should be ok, but if you read the threads, you should get a better idea.

oh, and vote for me in the next election. I'm a republican liberal democrat with socialist leanings

Hi there,

The guy who taught me advised that I go for the 8' 4" Bic Magnum and it's been brilliant; as well as the length it is wide and is quite thick so is great for starting out. I'ts, also, not too expensive

I wouldn't be tempted to buy a cool custom 6' 2" at the mo!

Hope this helps!

well since ur a beginner you should definatley go for something a little longer, but you dont need to get a full on 9 foot longboard. You said ur self u want somethin easier to carry around, so id recommend anything from a 7'6 up to 8'0'' with plenty of thickness and width. Actually a 9 footer would actually be harder to use for a beginner, because it would be real hard to manuever on a wave if you think about. just my two cents, and their a dam good two cents at that :D oh and u should also specify ur weight cause that matter quite a bit....
