i was talking to this aussi in a surf shop and i asked about surftech longboards and he said that they were to light for waves over 6ft or windy conditions. is this true?

i have a surf tech tolhurst 9 footer and when the wind is ripping up the wave face, it can throw you off.
they're pretty corky and light. its good to have some weight on a longboard i think

i have a surftech 7'10" water hog, which is barely a longboard -- i guess more of a mini - mal...anyway for my level, it's FANTASTIC...love it love it love it!

I have a surftech 8'0 and I love it. Really light and responsive but still has that longboard feel and nose rides well.
