good shapers, ones to avoid etc... price range....
is there a difference between nose riders or can you nose ride them all???
i currently 'ride' *cough*cough* a 7ft4 custard point custom funboard and can just about pop up (when i time it right!).
Am sellin my horse to fund my HGV license and expand my quiver - so help me out guys!

how much you got to spend and what you want from a longboard, im gonna be geting a new one soon ive progessed about as much as i can on the southpoint thing ive been riding
you got the normal traditional type longboards tend to be around 9'6 heavy glassed singlefins ideal for nose riding
you got progresive longboards that use a 2+1 fin setup, are much looser, easyer to turn and can handle bigger surf but arnt as good on the nose but still nose ridable
plus you can get other longboards used for big waves that are much thiner with a thruster type fin setup for taking out in much bigger waves, type of thing you see bonga riding at pipeline
the progresive boards tend to be a good all round board, thats what im looking at geting next maybe a mctavish fireball, if i can scrape up the funds by the summer. was gonna get a heavy glasses fat nose rider but i still wanna go out when its bigger so going for a progresive

cheers phil

Will have somewhere in the region of £6k to spend on a longboard as soon as horse is sold

.
I'd like to eventually be able to walk the board/noseride, and hang 5/10.
ummm i'm not going to be persuing pipe so i think i'll skip the thin thruster type hehehe.
so am guessing to go for 9foot single fin??
