Not that i think im good enough to get sponserd yet, but is anyone here sponserd because of their longboarding skills, and if so, is it quit hard, because one of my mates who shortboards is semi sponserd by slalamon and he didnt even have to ask them, they just sponserd him. so i was wondering if its as easy as that to get sponserd in the longboarding world ?

To get a good sponsorship deal is quite hard.
When it comes to Salomon I think it's a part of their marketing. When they entered the snowboarding scene, I was "sponsored" by them as well. Sponsored in the sense that I got one free board, and one for trade price. It doesn't cost them too much to hand out some new boards, just so the brand will get some attention.
There is a long way to go from that deal, to being sponsored in my opinion.
Keep riding, have fun, and see what happends.

In the gold coast, I was sponsored by my local surf shop.
It isn't that hard, but it requires you to enter loads of competions and wear stupid clothes with there logo all over it. And ugly stickers on your board.
But you do get free stuff!!

well my mate he got the nes s-core surf board worth $500 ( my pound buttons broken) for i think it was $200. but i think it would be good to get sponserd by your local surf shop as the surf community around the south coast is very strong and close as thier isnt many surfers for the size of the area.
