Surfing Waves

I am helping a friend get a performance board made, he wanted something good for small days but also good in case he wants to get into some bigger surf, also lighter and more responsive than the one he has. So first decision, drawing in the tail in to add performance, here is the difference between having a cruiser and something more nimble, 5" tail block instead of the standard 8"
