Bing, Lopez, Salt Gypsy mid length board advice requested

Seeking advice for a friend who is a 22 year old longboarder who really enjoyed surfing an available 7'10" Bing lotus this summer, alternating with 9 2 Ricky Carroll pig. Neither board made the trip west.

The current choices are the Bing collector in 7-7'6 range, a 7'6 Gerry Lopez or the 7'4 mid length board by Byron Bay shapers Salt Gypsy.
