my 4th ever slide

Postby drinkingbleach » Thu Sep 10, 2020 11:56 pm

Theres a lot going one here but this is my 4th ever successful-ish slide. I don't have any slide gloves due to the cost so I'm using some work gloves, a chunk of limestone, and a quarter of a brick. I've been riding for about 5 years now and mainly have just used it for cruising. Im currently running a stock 40inch Atom bamboo drop through but with Bones Super Swiss 6 and some 80a bushings (I guess atom gets a lot of hate). from my understanding the area 51 wheels Im riding right now are very "gummy" and not the best for sliding. Tomorrow Im picking up some Paris V2 trucks and Abec 11 wheels, super stoked! any feedback on sliding form or anything else would be amazing! (I live on an island not a hill in sight so everything I do is powered through pushing or carving thats why I don't have much speed) https://imgur.com/a/zg2gL5S

Hey buddy, this is a forum for SURFING not skateboarding. See the header that says "Surfing Waves" not "Grinding Concrete".

How are you bonding a brick to your work gloves ? Here's a tip, cut up a used Cutting Board ( the ones made from HDPE (high-density polyethylene plastic ), those slide nice.
