Change in board, looking for makes or shapers

I'm 60, 5'6", 150 lbs, been surfing over 25 year, the first 10 was consistent, after that had limited access to where I was only doing it a few times a year. And I'm out of shape.

The waves on the East Coast are different from what I used to surf. My old quiver had boards that worked more for me than the one I currently have, which is a 9'6" epoxy.

On of my best boards was a fibreglass 9'2" Schaper Beach Break model, a precursor to the Bonga Perkins model.I used to know quite a bit about boards and used to surf quite regularly so I used to know a bit about boards, makes etc.

My current epoxy board, along with me being out of practice and out of shape, is making it hard to catch waves - way too much flotation and I just don't like the way it feels. It worked pretty well where I used to live for some conditions but was never my main board. I'm never getting another epoxy.

So I am am seeing a shaper for advice based on my physical, experience, and local condition attributes for a fibreglass board and size, thickness, rocker, tail lift, etc. suggestions. I am not against getting a used board.

I had a Stewart 9'0" Hydro Hull years ago, hated it.

I've always wanted a Dewy Weber Performer 9'0" or 9'2" but not sure that would be the best next board, plus they're expensive and made on the other side of the country.

Carl Schaper has a "Lunch Break" model. Not sure if he made a "Beach Break" model a long time ago. Currently I ride a Donald Takayama HPD "Beach Break" model in Surftech Tuflite construction.

It was a board only offered in Japan, I think, where I was living at the time, and where the guy I bought it from bought it.

I think I'd like a Takayama (who I met in Japan) but definitely not an epoxy one.

We are same in that we both been surfing 25+ years. and rode Carl Schaper boards.
But opposite in that:
You moved from Japan to the U.S. / I moved from the U.S. to Japan
You hate the Stewart 9'0" Hydro Hull / I was just thinking about getting one
You want a Dewy Weber Performer 9'0" / I totally don't like that model especially the hatchet fin
You'll never get a Epoxy board again / I only ride molded-epoxy boards
