sunset damage (3).jpg
Hi I have a Sunset Softop longboard which as a board I quite like, but it has been damaged by a former owners moggy. The EVA soft surface that is stuck over the hard epoxy base has been used by the cat to try and sharpen its claws I think leaving many cuts and small missing chunks. Can anyone please suggest or know how I can restore/repair the surface layer, I am thinking glues, fillers or replacement EVA sheet that will be up to the job, flexible and look reasonably good. I have tried strong silicon but it didn't adhere well enough. Thanks for any suggys Steve R

sorry, but this is amusing to me. As far as a fix, I'd test to see if silicone glue will adhere to the foam.

Get a really thick rash vest, because whatever you use to fill the holes is going to be like a cheese grater on your body.

People have used hot glue guns and a thing like gloop, bodyboard repair gel sort of stuff.

Really if you want to get back to surfing more and better, forget fixing broken toyish boards.

Spend your money on one decent board for your level and your effort on surfing more.
