Hey there,
Every year i go to LBI New Jersey. I really enjoyed riding a 12" board recently and i thought it would be great to buy one and have one there\- not have to deal with renting foam boards or whatever. I live in Colorado so i need to figure out where to put it for the rest of the year.
Any ideas mates?( besides 100$ a month storage garage!)
thank you

What about a Pope bisect? Packs down for easier travel. You can bring it out with you each year. Here's one for sale online, although I don't know if it's still available: https://www.ridershack.com/used-95-pope-bisect-longboard-surfboard.html

It's not 12ft, but do you really need a 12-footer? A board that big should come with a set of oars, a sail, and/or an outboard.

Here some other ideas:

1. Contact and/or visit some of the classic board shops. A classic board shop is truly a surfer’s store: boards, wet suits, wax, and employees that actually surf. Inquire as to whether they’d sell you a board and store it for you for a nominal fee. My guess to what a nominal fee is one that ranges from $50 to $100 per year. An internet search identified many surf shops in the area, but I’m sure not all of them are classic board shops. Here’s three that appear to be and this is not an endorsement. I left the New Jersey shore far behind in 1978.

2. Variation on #1. Contact one of the more notable surf instruction businesses in the area. Inquire whether they’d sell a board and store for nominal fee. They may offer to rent, but you can explain what you’re trying to possess and store your very own board. Try Surfing with Nicole (of which, I have no affiliation with).

Well, you do not know until you try. If you do not ask, then the answer is definitely not what you hope. Learned this a long time ago. bEst of luck
