Which surftech model is this?

Postby Prancing monkey » Tue Apr 16, 2019 7:36 am

Hi folks,

Recently bought this second hand in uk for our tiny summer stuff. Just curious as to what model it is as no markings beyond surftech and tufflite on the deck. Dims are 9,6 by 23 ish and I think it’s about 3 thick although again no stated dims (just a code on the tail which looks like it starts with the length but then random numbers after that).

Single concave on the nose, trolled and angled v in the tail. 2+1 fin set up. The previous owner said he bought from new around 2005 and he thought it was called the classic, but I can’t find anything online (potentially due to age!)

I am not a longboarder but that is a nice looking board!
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

Thanks waikikikichan

I did a quick google search after you posted and couldn’t find any official surftech pages but there was an old selling post on a uk second hand site which had a 9’ RF in exactly the same colour scheme and outline. Guess it lines up with what the seller said about it being an early model, as it looks like the majority of later boards are licensed for other shapers ( Takayama / August / Mctavish etc)
